Live music venues in Reading

Reading's live music activity is spread across a mix of rooms rather than concentrated in a single district. The database gathers theatres such as The Hexagon and Progress Theatre, cultural centres including South Street Arts Centre and Rising Sun Arts Centre, clubs like Purple Turtle, along with concert venues, event venues and pubs such as The Retreat. Each type works differently: theatres and cultural centres tend to programme seated, ticketed evenings and often plan months ahead, clubs and pubs move faster and are more open to newer acts, while concert venues and event venues usually deal with promoters or hire agreements. Knowing which category you are approaching shapes the pitch you send. Rather than routing everything through a generic contact form, this page lets you reach the person who actually books the room, with the contact details we hold, so you can present your project in your own words.
